Incoming TDP at Capital One

I’m studying Computer Science and Economics at UW–Madison. I’ll be joining Capital One’s Technology Development Program after graduating in December 2026.

I’m interested in backend systems and infrastructure. Recently, I’ve worked on network visualization at AT&T, invoice automation at Northwestern Mutual, and Android applications at DarDoc.

Capital One, Technology Development Program

Joining Capital One’s Technology Development Program after graduating from UW–Madison.

Period: Summer 2026

AT&T, Software Engineer Intern

Built internal network tools and improved data-processing jobs. I used binary search to speed up IP geolocation lookups and reworked file scanning to reduce CPU usage in a logging service.

Details about AT&T
  • Built a Next.js, TypeScript, and tRPC application for exploring network topology across more than 14,000 vendor relationships. About fifteen people edit it, so a save based on a stale version of a record is rejected instead of overwriting someone else’s change. It runs in Docker.
  • Optimized a geolocation job over 240,000 addresses with binary search, which brought it from four hours to two minutes.
  • Made a file logging service scan its logs concurrently, which cut its CPU use from 32 percent to 7.6 percent.
  • Set up Grafana dashboards for the file shares of more than fifty vendors that deliver every day. Checking a share’s health takes five seconds instead of five minutes of reading logs.
  • Rebuilt a Meraki-to-Databricks pipeline covering 4,400 sites that had been reporting some devices as present up to 24 hours a day.

Period: Summer 2025

Northwestern Mutual, Software Engineer Intern

Worked on invoice generation and automated PDF distribution. I also used Docker and GitHub Actions to make development and deployment more consistent.

Details about Northwestern Mutual
  • Built a Python and Streamlit application that generates invoices for more than a thousand records, streaming each PDF as it is produced. Generating invoices takes about 75 percent less time.
  • Automated sending the PDFs to more than two hundred stakeholders with Power Apps, which removed about 95 percent of the manual email work.
  • Containerized development and the CI/CD pipeline with Docker and GitHub Actions, which halved environment setup issues.

Period: Summer 2024

DarDoc, Software Engineer Intern

Built Android scheduling screens with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, fixed application bugs, and simplified navigation. Used MVVM to organize the application code.

Details about DarDoc
  • Built five scheduling screens in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose; scheduling features load about 25 percent faster.
  • Organized the code with MVVM and SOLID principles and fixed more than fifteen high-severity bugs, cutting the time to resolve a bug by about 30 percent.
  • Simplified the core navigation, so common tasks take about 20 percent fewer steps, and improved accessibility across the app.
